Website Restructuring, Redesign & Development
- Introduction
The Forum for Language Initiatives (FLI) is a non-profit organization working to promote language, culture, and inclusive communication. FLI currently operates a functional website; however, the organization seeks to restructure, redesign, and enhance the website to better reflect its mission, improve usability, and ensure advanced researchability and accessibility.
FLI invites qualified and experienced vendors, preferably based in Islamabad, to submit quotations for this project.
- Project Objectives
The primary objectives of this assignment are:
- Redesign the website with a modern, clean, and user-friendly interface
- Restructure content for better navigation and information architecture
- Ensure the website is fully searchable and research-friendly
- Improve user engagement and accessibility
- Strengthen FLI’s digital presence and visibility
- Enable easy content management by internal staff
- Scope of Work
The selected vendor will be responsible for:
- Discovery & Planning
- Review of existing website structure and content
- Conduct stakeholder consultations
- Propose improved site architecture and content hierarchy
- Design & User Experience
- Develop modern UI/UX aligned with FLI branding
- Ensure responsive design (desktop, tablet, mobile)
- Create intuitive navigation and layout
- Development
- Rebuild website using a suitable CMS (e.g., WordPress)
- Implement advanced search functionality (content, publications, resources)
- Ensure SEO-friendly structure
- Features & Functionality (Updated)
- Fully functional pages, menus, and links
- Integrated search system
- Blog/news section
- Resource repository (research/publications)
- Social media integration
- Contact and engagement forms
- Subscriber & Communication Features:
- Ability to retain and manage existing website subscribers (including secure migration of subscriber data from the current website)
- Functionality to send automated email notifications to subscribers for updates such as new publications, events, and announcements
- Option for users to subscribe/unsubscribe easily
- Integration with an email marketing system (e.g., Mailchimp or equivalent)
- Technical Requirements
- Mobile-first, responsive design
- Cross-browser compatibility
- Basic SEO optimization
- Security and performance optimization
- Accessibility compliance (where possible)
- Training & Support
- Training for FLI staff on CMS usage
- Documentation/manuals
- Post-launch support (optional/quoted separately)
- Deliverables

- Deployment and go-live support
- Vendor Eligibility Criteria
Vendors must:
- Be registered firms based in Islamabad (preferred)
- Have proven experience in nonprofit website development/restructuring
- Provide portfolio of at least 3 relevant projects
- Demonstrate expertise in UI/UX, CMS, and SEO
- Provide references from previous clients
- Submission Requirements
Interested vendors must submit:
- Company profile
- Technical proposal (approach & methodology)
- Project timeline
- Financial quotation (detailed cost breakdown)
- At least 2–3 client references
- Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Relevant experience (preferably with nonprofits)
- Quality of previous work
- Cost-effectiveness
- Team expertise
